Urban Leather Tote

I'm seriously obsessed with this bag! I put all my money back into my photography business for two years. When I finally treated myself to something for the first time, it was this urban tote I'd been drooling over for months. I bought it well over a year ago and it is still in perfect condition. I cannot believe I'm still in love with it!

I think the thing I love the most is the length of the straps. Because I'm not a super petite woman, I often find that bags sit uncomfortably on my body when I have them up on my shoulder. Not so with this bag! Its long length on the straps allows it to sit lower and makes it feel SO comfortable to carry!

The only thing I'd change is to add some snaps or a zipper to the center section to be able to close it if you don't use it for your laptop. As a photographer, I use a large MacBook Pro to edit photos and if I slide it into this section, it's too big and blocks the small handle holes that I often use. Because of that, I slide my laptop in the side and use the center for glasses, pens, hair clips, chargers, etc. It would be great to be able to close that part. Other than that, though, I'm completely obsessed!

The large leather bag I ordered is beautiful! My husband got me the insert organizer for Christmas, which made it even better. This bag carries all my needs including large multiple books (I'm a teacher) and school supplies. The smell and color of the purse are amazing! Everywhere I go, there is a compliment or two on the purse. The scent and color attract people and then the questions begin. My goal is to own a few different colors to change from time to time. For the majority of my life, I have been a backpack and small EDC bag type of person. This was the first tote I have ever tried, and it has been a total game-changer in my life! I have 3 small children & for all outings, I had been carrying a diaper bag for their items, a satchel or backpack for my own stuff, and my partner carried a satchel as well. Now I can carry items for all 5 of us in this one bag & it has been wonderful! The bag itself is lightweight, beautifully and simple in design, and the open top is my favorite part. No buckles or zippers to fumble with anytime I need something, I can just reach in and have everything at my finger tips! I have been using it for work as well as weekend adventures & I can't imagine my life without it. Perfect for every occasion!

I received this tote as a Mother's Day gift and it is so appreciated. It fits my laptop, notebook, large phone, and other miscellany. With an open top, everything is easy to access and standing in its own means I don't need to worry about its contents spilling out when I sit it down at work and home.

Ok. So let’s be honest. This is a pricey bag, but considering how much money I’ve spent on bags that just didn’t feel right or were poor in quality, it’s a steal. The bag is heavy, but the straps are comfortable. The drop is perfect for me/ not too long or too short. I finally know what a quality tote looks and feels like. You won’t regret it. Honest. Just buy it. The smell is heavenly too and the interior of the bag is so soft.

Perfect document bag for work

I received this bag in tobacco as a gift for Mother's Day. I've used it every day for 3 months for everything from holding my laptop, makeup bag, smaller planner and presentations for work - to loading it down with snacks, drinks, diapers and kid clothes for a day out - to an overnight bag for a quick trip. It held its shape nicely, the inside pocket and key hook are brilliant, and the handles have softened (but not stretched) so they now fold over the side. This bag gets its share of bumps, dings and scratches but it just adds to the one-of-a-kind look of the leather. I will need to treat it with Leather Milk soon so I can keep it from getting dry on the bottom and around the base where it gets the most wear. Overall, 5 stars - couldn't be happier.

I recently bought a Large Urban Leather Tote for the first day of my wife owning her own business. I figured she needed a work tote that matched her professional look and approach. To be honest, I was excited just to order another item from SL and this did not disappoint. I ordered the bag monogrammed and it still arrived in TWO DAYS - like Amazon-fast. Once it arrived, it was exactly as I've come to expect from all SL products - beautiful, built to last forever, and it smelled so good. Overall another excellent product and a very classy gift. This tote has a great, sturdy structure that stands on its own, which is very important for me since I’m in all sorts of classrooms and usually have to set the bag on the floor. I feel like it protects the laptop better than a softer tote, so I can use this daily. The straps are flat and STAY ON MY SHOULDERS! So few bags I’ve owned over the years pass that test. SBL succeeds again! I’m 5’5” and the straps are plenty long enough so that the top of the bag sits just above my waist, so it’s very comfortable to carry. The outside pocket fits my 7+ iPhone and keys. For me, the copper rivets look amazing with the DCB. This tote fits my 15” laptop, iPad mini, umbrella, water bottle, planner, 3 pouches, laptop cord and chargers. If you’re a tote person, this will be one of your favorites!!!

I received my second Saddleback tote this morning. My first is a much-used large dark brown tote from Love 41. This one is in tobacco and a little different in design. I love the pockets...they sold me. It’s absolutely stunning - perfect maybe? As a long time Saddleback girl, I am confident this bag will wear as beautifully as my other treasured pieces.

Where has this bag been all my life?! So gorgeous, roomy, goes with EVERYTHING, smells AMAZING. Worth every penny I spent on it. The simple and unfussy design leaves all that much more room to lug all my daily necessities and in-case-of-zombie-apocalypse goods around. Can't live without it. Neither can you!

This tote is amazing! I got the DCB and love the pull up. It looks so vintage to me. I love the smell of the leather. You can’t go wrong with this tote. It will last me and then my kids a lifetime.

A beautiful medium tote. I don’t think I have used that sentence before. There are a few nice ones around. This one turns it up a couple notches. A gift to my teacher wife, who was carrying a myriad of articles to and from the classroom.

This bag feels really good on my shoulder. After carrying around diapers for many years this is the ultimate no diaper bag for me. It comes with me on grown up adventures and can hold so much stuff. I don’t drool over other bags anymore, this is the ultimate and I know it will last me forever.

This baby holds a lot! Use it for work sometimes with 11” tablet and mouse, mail, documents to deliver and my every day carry. It is great to only need one bag! I also use it for a shopping bag for office supplies, groceries and when my husband and I bought new gadgets. I can see how it would be perfect for a busy mother because it’s great for this busy grandmother. I love the chestnut color matches my large chestnut hobo purse also from Saddleback Leather.

Great bag, my wife loves it!! Her only complaint is that it’s heavier than the old bag she used to use, but it’s durable and will last longer than her old bag.
