Overview

Specially formulated for compatibility with Saddleback's leathers, and works just as well on other leather too. A great leather protector for leather backpacks boots, shoes, purses, bags, outdoor gear and leather motorcycle equipment. Is designed to condition and protect leather from harsh weather conditions, especially rain and snow. Contains deeply penetrating natural oils and waxes that both condition and repel water. Has no leather cleaning component in this leather protector. Start with an application of Chamberlain's Straight Cleaner No. 2 for those dirtier leather moments. Please be advised, this product will typically darken lighter color leather pieces. Not for use on suede or extremely soft leather types. This recipe has no cleaning component so ensure you clean your leather prior with Straight Cleaner No. 2 before applying Water Protectant. Test before you apply. If you are unsure about whether Water Protectant can be used on your leather, test on an inconspicuous area that will be unseen to make sure you like the result. Apply in thin, even layers - a little goes a long way! Contains no saddle soaps, solvents or synthetic chemicals. All natural ingredients ensure the recipe is safe for human, animals and the environment. Went on easy and I've been out in the weather with my briefcase a few times and it got the job done, water beaded off more than soaked in and overall gave a nice slightly darker sheen to the tobacco leather which I like a lot.

New Bottle - Same Great Protectant

I have been using Chamberlains Water Protectant No.3 for some time now. I live on the West(wet) Coast and rely on good protectants for my leather products because of our rainy climate. No.3 is very rich, applies easily and offers superior protection. The heavier formulation, which I only use once or twice a year, complements the No. 1 formulation for more frequent applications. I like the new bottles. The larger size is appreciated and reduces the amount of times I have to go to the Shopping Cart...shipping to Canada is expensive. The new plastic plug with the hole in the center is much better than the old cardboard/plastic plugs of the smaller bottles. This makes application of the No. 3 much easier. The bottles also ship with a nice foam/cotton applicator. When applying the cream I take a brush to the leather surface after and spread around any cream build up in the threads and seams.



Overall I remain very happy with Chamberlains Water Protectant No.3.
