20" Baby Beast Duffle Bag

Ditch the roller bag, buy this. The baby beast is an outstanding carry-on or road trip bag. It fits in the overhead bin and is way more durable (and better looking) than a roller bag. Unless you're packing something like snow gear it will easily hold several day's worth of clothing, plus toiletries and a change of shoes. It is comfortable to carry by both the shoulder strap and the handles. It looks great and will last for a very long time.

Already told a grandson he's getting my baby beast, he gave a big grin, and that made me smile. But it will be a give so there's no fighting over it when I'm dead.

I’ve had this bag for a couple months now, and I’ve already gotten quite a bit of use out of it. Just like any Saddleback product, this bag looks great and is made to stand the test of time. The only thing that I think could be improved would be to supply a leather wrap to keep the handles together when using the shoulder strap, but otherwise, this thing is perfect.

I had a hard time making the decision between this baby beast and the medium water bag. The water bag is a great bay, however it's just a little too large for a quick 2-3 night trip for my personal needs. I have a waxed canvas bag from another brand I use for the quick trips. This Baby Beast will take the place of that bag. I can get 4 days in it including an extra pair of running shoes. It's a tight fit, but it works. It would be nice if it was maybe a couple inches larger, but it gets the weekend trip done easily. Maybe a 2 night (3 day) bag in the winter months. All in all this is a wonderful weekender or backseat grab and go.

This is the best purchase and the best quality bag I owned. I recently had a family reunion and saw that my brother had the 20" Baby Beast Duffle Bag and as soon as I touch the leather, I can immediately that the bag is of the top quality. My brother has the tobaco color, and I purchased the chestnut color. My bag was delivered yesterday, and I am looking forward to use it for all my future travels.

This was a Dave’s Deal. Have only owned a SB bi-fold wallet before this. The wallet is about 18 years old now. It looks and feels better than new. But I digest…?. The Baby Beast is bigger than expected. While it is airline carry-on friendly, you can fit a lot of stuff in here! Perfect for when I visit our kids and grandchildren! To have this bag become the place where grandpa brings all of the best presents for them…I’m already excited for the memories. Oh yah, the workmanship is unbelievable too.

So I scored another Dave's Deal - I just love Dave's Deals because the price is discounted and usually when I look the piece over I have no idea where the "minor" imperfection is. I tell everyone about the value of Dave's Deals and Suzette's Steals. I love the look, style and simplicity of the Baby Beast. I also really like the rich saturated color of the new tobacco - it looks as though it has already received a couple of coats of Chamberlin's Leather Milk. I look forward to carrying this design on my next flight to see my sister-in-law and nieces. As others have said its always fun to see what other travelers in the airline terminals and flight attendants will say when they see it. On a recent trip from Philadelphia to Orlando, I was scanning every ones luggage and boy do they need help. Cheap looking materials and lots of zippers - oh my! Maybe a couple of SL/Love 41 Ads in airport terminals?

I've had mine several months now, wanting to use it a bit before writing a review. Absolutely Awesome. I can pack four days of clothes, toiletries, medicines, phone etc., in this with room to spare. This thing is tough as nails. Thick, beautiful leather and seriously strong hardware. It also gets compliments, especially from frequent travelers (flight attendants) for its good looks. I'm retiring soon, and this bag and I will be going places!

Purchased for weekend trips. Just used it on a 4-day trip and it held everything I needed. Great bag and as always the quality is spot on.

Enough space for 2 nights away and strong enough to handle the test of time. Importantly the more you use it the better it looks.

This is a perfect size for a carry on and a great bag for short business or weekend trips. The quality is outstanding. I Just hope I never have to “gate check” it.

I've been wanting a saddleback duffel for a long time but couldn't bring myself to spend the money on the waterbag. With this, I miss out on the backpack ability, but I usually travel with my SB thin backpack anyway (another favorite). I just got the baby beast and I'm so ecstatic Saddleback had the idea of making a baby beast. It's the perfect size and punches above its weight in value. I thought it might be too small, but I was able to fit the following COMFORTABLY (please note all size medium):

(4) dress shirts
(2) t shirts
(5) underwear and socks
(1) pair of sneakers
(1) suit

Of course i don't have to say the construction, design, and materials are better than any other leather goods I've seen.

bought this bag about a month ago and have been on three trips with it. looks great. has enough room if you pack conservatively for 4-5 days worth of clothes and a small toiletry bag. fits perfect in overhead bin. scratches easy though i will have to use some leather conditioner on it. overall well built and worth the money. last duffel ill ever buy!

Just received my Baby Beast and I am super impressed with the quality of this bag! I can't wait to start my adventures when the quarantine is over! This bag will definetly last 20 plus years. Worth every penny!!!

Awesome! Bought it as a gift for my nephew. He loves it. It was my third purchase from Saddleback and they all have been great.

Was able to fit more in it than expected. Customer service was amazing, will agree with the other reviews, would be nice if it had some sort of strap for the handles to hold them together/hold.

Ok after lusting after Saddleback leather products for awhile I finally pulled the trigger once I saw the Baby Beast Duffle. With an upcoming 40th Birthday trip to France in October I decided I would treat myself to the most amazing carry on bag ever! I was blown away by the speed of the free shipping. Then opening the box I was NOT disappointed- as soon as I opened the box you could smell the intoxicating leather smell. Unwrapping the paper I was astonished at the quality of this bag. The leather was thick and sturdy - the stitching / rivets were perfect - and this has the best metal hardware I have ever seen. The interior of this bag was just as amazing as the outside of it. This is a very high quality duffle bag, from what I can tell is a quality company. I highly recommend spending the money on this bag- the investment is worth it for this incredible work of art!

This is my third Saddleback bag purchase. I have a briefcase and the original large water bag for long trips, but I needed an overnight bag, and this is perfectly sized for that. I have used it multiple times since my purchase, and I love it. The quality of these bags is unsurpassed - they are the best. Period!

Wow - I was super excited when this arrived, and for good reason. Ordered the Baby Beast in dark coffee brown. The build and durability looks great. Constructed in a way that gives me confidence that it will last a while. Good finish and smell. The finish on the top cover gets scratched up a bit by the handles, but I think it will wear into an interesting look. The stainless steel hardware is a great look. Simple and classy. Simple interior - great to have a tough inner lining. The weight is noticeable while carrying around. Cover buckles down but does not close tight;y so small items could fall out.

I have received many compliments about this piece. I now have purchased four items and I am continuing to collect more.

I’m giving this a 5 but..... this bag needs a handle wrap !! When using the shoulder strap the carry handles get in the way !
I purchased the leather wraps from Saddlebacks site to remedy this situation. Would have been nice to have one included.
Now that said... I love this bag..!!!
