    Black Large Overnighter

Wow. Just wow. This bag is one of the "must" owns for any Saddlebacker. Yes I said Saddlebacker. First off, it's very practical in terms of gear, the gym, or the office (I lift weights so I need to carry alot of food to the office). Right now I'm fitting in my agenda's, my 13" laptop (laptops are being issued smaller for portability these days), mini umbrella, pen case, and 3 sets of meals, and a large thermos. This will be even more handy in a Toronto winter that would require gloves, hats, scarves, and a change of shoes from boots etc. In my opinion, this bag was meant to be in black. I wish the dusty carbon black was still around but I'm happy with the uniform colour. It gives the bag a serious look and feel to it. It reminds me of those old school medical bags that doctors would carry around on house calls. It's that awesome. This is easily one of SBL's top 10 offerings.

Excellent Bag; Will use as a Gym Bag

Just got the bag today (in dark coffee brown) and couldn't be happier. The leather is beautiful. I bought this bag to replace a rather boring gym bag; I also wanted a SBL product that I knew I'd use frequently (such as a gym bag). Additionally I was looking for something a little different than your typical gym bag, and this bag certainly fulfills that requirement. I bought the large size which seems just right for my needs. My running shoes (size 10.5M) fit perfectly in the bottom of the bag, clothes on top, paper workout routines tucked away between the bottom liner and the inside of the bag. Works perfectly. I'm sure I'll love carrying this bag around. It is beautiful and distinctive.

    Bullseye

I have four Saddleback bags and if I had to recommend one, it would be this one. It is far and away the most versatile and I find myself using it more than any other. The briefcase is great for laptops and papers, the waterbag is great for vacation, but this is the most practical everyday bag. You can take a couple days worth of basic clothes in it, and your laptop and papers will fit if you don't fold it all the way. An informal office survey says it doesn't look like a purse... until you start rooting around in it for your keys, so wait until you're at the car. Recommend Chestnut or Tobacco finish (or Walnut if they bring it back). Coffee Brown is a nice color, but causes odd wrinkling on parts that bend and doesn't have the same kind of quality feel as the other finishes. I've never seen Carbon in person.

    Have Dry Bag, Will Travel

Second purchase from SBL (first was a briefcase for my husband). Pounced on Large Dry Bag in Chestnut on Dave's Deals page when I found out the Waterbags were out of stock. Splurge purchase to attend a sales training meeting. Holds four days' worth of clothes--tightly packed--a hair straightener, cosmetics bag, and a pair of sandals. [The bag] received a lot of double takes in the airport and as I put it in the overhead bin. Overheard "That is a cool bag!", etc. On the return trip, as I waited for the airport shuttle at 4:30 a.m., a fellow traveler commented, "I love your luggage; it's so Southwestern! May I ask the brand?" I was glad for the business cards that arrive with each shipment! Nicely done, SBL!

    I'm a horse-person...

I see a lot of leather...quality matters to me greatly! I prefer to buy something once & not live with regret. So, as a horse person, I was curious as to how my Dry Bag would actually be upon arrival...would it live up to the reviews, representations etc....OH YES!!!! The leather is high-quality. The hardware is located intelligently & not excessively...this bag does not look like an Edward Scissorhandy bag...the pig-skin inset is key to maintaining the form of the bag....& I love it. I bought a large carbon-coloured creation....here's the capacity: I can fit a dressage bridle, dressage girth, pashmina, phone, wallet, digital camera, hair brush, dressage pad AND my mac book pro into this bag...that means one trip from the car with this bag & my saddle is all that is needed. So, I bought another large in Tobacco...one for my brown boot days...& I justify the carbon, which covers my black boot days! This bag WILL age very nicely & truly is the perfect bag for carrying a massive amoutn of stuff in, while looking stylish. Interestingly, it does, as dave shows in the video...roll down & buckle up into a completely secure, reasonably-sized bag for functioning as a classy purse (which is what I wanted), your normal woman-stuff, such a lipstick, parfum, tictacs, books etc WILL NOT FALL OUT!...So, yes...you can buy this bag & not give a 2nd thought to leather quality. Thanks Saddleback...from a happy horsetrainer.
