He taught Biblical truths through the mythological stories he created and therefore, is the father of modern mythology. He not only impacted his close friend C.S. Lewis, but also millions of others through his work.

This thing is amazing. It just screams quality. But there’s a bigger story to this. I ordered it, and it had actually captured my heart. When I received the journal, I was so excited. I opened the box and immediately upon opening the box I was impressed with a word from the Lord that said this belongs to Jeremy. Jeremy is a good friend of mine who does more journaling than anyone I know. This is not a message for everyone. It was just for me. This thing was capturing my heart, but God told me to give it away now I’m free and Jeremy is the recipient of a beautiful gift that he will treasure forever. And his kids can fight over it when they’re dead. My kids will be fighting over my saddleback briefcase.

Amazing

Thick leather feels amazing and will last forever. I had a faux leather cover before this and it started peeling. Not good to go! I put a Leuchtturm1917 in this and it fits perfectly. Moleskins are a TAD tight. The top touches the pen holder, but it can still work. Just doesn't fit as well as the Leuchtturm1917. I put a G2 on the pen holder and it fits well. It will stretch a little but will eventually work. Great product. Highly recommend!

I am a Tolkien fan, and a longtime customer and fan of Saddleback products. The leather, weight, and quality of this journal are excellent! The notebook filler fits snugly in place, and it looks and feels very classy! Another excellent product from Dave & Co!

Simple, Beautiful Quality!

This is my second purchase from the Silverback collection and (no surprise) I love it! The leather is on par with the Spurgeon briefcase I purchased and absolutely stunning. It is perfect for an A5 notebook and the pen loop is perfectly placed! This will get years (and lifetimes) of use!!

J.R.R. Tolkien Journal Cover

As an investor in Saddleback products over the years, this was my first "Silverback Collection" addition - in Oxblood. True to Saddleback's design, function, and quality, this definitely does not disappoint. The Italian leather is luxurious and beautiful and the goatskin lining is supple and yet very durable. It is also a great size (fits A5 refills/paper) for an easy to carry journal. Thank you Dave and the Saddleback team for continuing to innovate with this new product line while maintaining the heritage that is Saddleback Leather.
