Thin Front Pocket Leather Backpack

The thin front backpack I received within a couple of days went into use straight away. Looks, feels, smells amazing. Breaking it in with my laptop and much more is part of the journey. I have received a handful of comments and my adult kids are already fighting over it whilst Iam still alive and using it.

I got this for days when I don't feel like carrying my briefcase but want the function of a briefcase. I can carry heavy files, my computer and everything else I need for Court. I also use it for off days or when we go on trips. I get many compliments and people always ask the brand. I am happy to be a brand ambassador and love all of your products I have purchased.

I've had this backpack (in dark coffee brown) nearly a year and a half, I use it most days, and it's only getting and looking better. I bought it for use in formal business settings, in place of a briefcase, as well as casual everyday use around town and occasional hikes, and it has served well in all contexts. Very sturdy as advertised. I have gotten numerous compliments on its appearance. I hesitated to buy it because it is heavier than many comparable size backpacks, reflecting its solid construction from durable materials, but it balances so nicely that it is very comfortable and the weight is no problem. I am very very happy with this backpack.

This is the best backpack I ever had. I completely dove in the leather paradise when I have this beauty infront of me. Normal words can't describe what it is, you have to own one to know it.

I have purchased so many backpacks in my life but have finally found the best backpack ever. Everything is superb. I love it. This will last me my lifetime!

I normally do not write reviews although I purchased tons of products. This is the exception! My husband is the pickiest guy on this planet. I purchased another well-known brand leather backpack for him and whenever he uses it, profanity just flying out. He is the IT guy and this back fits his daily uses. He LOVES this backpack! He LOVES nothing before. He even said, Dave's leather designs made other Leather Companies out there look stupid. After received this leather backpack, I went back and purchased 3 more items (Canvas...Backpack, Tool Bag, & Bi-fold Wallet). My husband only wants quality, smart engineered products and Dave's designs met that. They look good, functional, and practical unlike most products. I went back on site to look for an Old Bull Leather Belt 1.5 size 30 but disappointed that Dave does not have this size. :( I am looking for a leather belt that my husband can wear his concealed pistol, something tough. Thank you for making a grump happy. :)

Chestnut color came in today and I couldn’t be happier with the purchase, even though it cost a premium (it is worth it). I got compliments from classmates and random people. I am a graduate student and this bag holds about 2-3 books And your laptop. Not too heavy and very comfortable. Probably is the most comfortable bag I’ve ever had. Definitely will buy more products from this company in the futurez

This is a great backpack. It is very thin tho, holds a leather portfolio and a 13in macbook and a wire pouch. And thats it. But thats all i need it for, so I’m happy. Not ideal as a weekender bag.

Simply an incredible city bag. I had some small SB Leather products prior, but had wanted this bag for a while. I did a lot of research on leather backpacks and happily decided on this beauty. It is perfect for around town, a short overnight, or a day trip. I am 5'9", 150 lbs and this fits me perfectly. It is impeccably well-made, has a masculine attractiveness, functionality, and class. My sons are salivating over it and my wife simply loves it. I absolutely couldn't be happier. Wonderful product. I wouldn't buy anything but SB for my leather products.

Spectacular!!! That is the only way I can describe this item. My son had the nerve to ask for it when he went to college and the answer was a resounding "NO." However, when he made it into medical school, we felt like it was a just reward. He was completely thrilled with the gift and gets compliments on it everywhere he goes. I have way to many SBL bags. This one is by far my favorite for daily carry. If I’m traveling I prefer something larger. But for everyday, this one is the winner. And it looks great. I have it in chestnut.

An excellent day or light weekend bag.

Excellent and useful features include:

-buckle to bring the top opening under the flap completely for rain

-a laptop pocket which comfortably fits my 13” laptop in sleeve

-just enough width to nestle a Little Big Mouth at the bottom below the rest of your pack.

-a handle strap which will take the EDC satchel perfectly with total ease of access for both.

It also looks stellar out of the box and only gets better from there!

Listen Gents, if you think you need a bigger backpack, you're carrying too much stuff around with you, and you're that guy who looks like he can't leave the house without a full campout "EDC" even though he lives downtown.

I waffled around for a long time on whether this bag would be big enough, and I haven't seen any reviews from after the redesign, so let me tell y'all, this backpack is the PERFECT size and is MORE than big enough. A lot of the old version reviews made it sound like it would be the same depth inside as one of their satchels or thin briefcases and yeah, nope, that is absolutely not true anymore AT ALL.

I can carry a 36oz Yeti Rambler water bottle or a full size Stanley thermos, with a 13" laptop AND a 12" tablet (both in the very spacious pigskin internal sleeve pocket), a folded up big fleece jacket, my lunch, plus wallet, keys, phone, and half a dozen other things.

The hidden "pockets" behind the front and side ones are super trick, and all of the pockets are more than big enough to be useful. The structure of this bag keeps it a slimmer profile on the back, you can swing your arms back without your elbows hitting it and you don't feel like you're rucking some huge turtleshell around. The straps take a while to break in, but they are comfortable after they do.

It's thin enough to give it lots of structure and style, and prevents it from feeling like a big leather sack inside where all your stuff gets all mixed together and disorganized, the pockets are absolutely a must, but it's also plenty deep width wise.
If you need to carry more stuff than this around town, campus, or even around an airport as an under-the-seat bag, you've got too much stuff, or you need a proper trekking pack or nylon duffel that wont be so heavy.

If you're a commuter or a student, or anyone that basically just wants a classier, lasts-forever leather big-kid version of the functionality and size of an old Jansport classic? This is the bag for you, you don't want anything bigger or less organized.

Take my advice, get this bag and trim down your EDC as necessary, because any bigger a bag than this, and trust me, you're the "backpack guy" everyone hates on subways.

I have purchased so many items from Saddleback the quality with every item I have is amazing and the leather is always beautiful! This backpack is by far my favorite! When you have it loaded it’s so comfortable on your back! It isn’t bulky at all yet it fits everything I need for my day. Amazing job Saddleback! I love it!

You know, I actually love this thing. I've traditionally used briefcases, but this has replaced a very expensive Italian briefcase as my everyday carry. Much more convenient, carries everything I need (which is a bunch since I'm in the field a good amount of time and my vehicle has become my second office), and keeps everything handy in a super functional way. Plus, it really looks good. I also own the Indiana satchel in coffee and am now thinking duffel. I wonder, have I developed a Dave's bag fetish? Hmmm. Naw...just filling needs;)

This little back pack does it all for me. Holds my every day carry items, laptop or Ipad along with all the extras. It's my go to back pack. I loved my bucket BP but had to give it up for this thin FPBP. I got the DCB and I am loving it.
