12" Drawstring Backpack

The 12" drawstring backpack was a complete hit and the perfect gift! My wife absolutely loves it. Being forward deployed right now, watching the unwrapping video really made my day. My husband bought me this backpack in Tobacco for Christmas and oh my gosh!! It’s so so good, ya’ll! I’ve had my eye on it for a while and even decided against it a time or two because I wasn’t sure it’d be spacious enough. I was wrong!! It’s hard to tell online but in person, the sizing is legit. As a lover of all things stationary, this is a true match for my journal, my planner, wallet, leather pouch that houses my knife, flashlight and keys, lip balm, pen case, sticker book, book to read and STILL plenty of room for a snack bag or water bottle, small lap top or iPad, kindle, or what have you! This is roomy without being too large! It’s comfortable on my shoulder and back! I’ll sing its praises and enjoy it for many many years!! If you’re on the fence about it like I was, let me tell you, you wont regret this buy for yourself or a loved one! Just get it!!

Got this for my wife and she absolutely loves it. She has been quite happy and it feels really sturdy.

Only *minor* complaint would be a lack of extra pockets, either exterior or interior. But we knew that going in. :)

I have wanted a backpack purse for a long time now as carrying a tote style on my shoulder has become cumbersome since getting injured. I wanted real leather and came across this little gem after searching various sites. I always came back to this one and decided to buy it in Tobacco. The day it came in the mail I was so excited. I smelled it before I saw it and that real leather smell is so good. This bag is simply perfect. It’s exactly what I wanted and needed without even knowing it! It holds way more than you’d think and because I’m obsessed with matching (and now this company) I had to buy a wallet, pen pouch, sunglasses case and an organizer to go with it! I even got an AirTag keychain for my car keys. The quality and craftsmanship on every item I’ve bought is top notch. It’s beautiful, and you can tell that a lot of detail and attention went in to creating not only the backpack but everything they make. This might sound lame but you can feel the love in the products. I feel happy every time I pick up something I’ve bought. After reading the company bio I knew why. If you’re on the fence on whether to buy this backpack, don’t be! You’ll love it! You’re investing in a great company and a product that will last…and I really do think family will fight over it when I die, as their slogan says!

I ADORE this bag! I’m pretty minimalistic and this bag works for me as a mom bag for my 3 kiddos. I love that it’s already soft so it’s comfortable right out of the box and no breaking in is required. It’s just beautiful.
In the sleeve I fit 2 diapers and a small package of wipes. In the main body I put in my hand lotion, a pouch with first aid needs, a pouch with some snack bars, hand sanitizer, lip balm, and have room to spare yet the profile is on the smaller side with no bulk.
Definitely recommend if you’re on the fence and I’d love to buy it in tobacco next. Would love to see this in a black!

Love the pack, using as a purse, just wish it had a slip pocket for easy access to a phone and a hook for keys so they don’t get buried on the bottom.

I have been through so many backpacks to find something like this. Soft, smooshy, classic Saddleback style that you can use EVERY SINGLE DAY! I am over the moon and can’t believe I waited so long. This is the bag I would actually sell every other bag I own for! It’s light, has the larger internal pocket to have a bit of separation. Easy under the arm to get to anything you need as it’s flexible. Dave and team have outdone themselves. I will be ordering this bag in every color!

The quality of this leather backpack is outstanding. I love the fact that it can be used as an every day carry. So comfortable and soft. I can’t say enough good things about this backpack and the company. I spoke with Christie on the phone before purchasing and she was very informative, so helpful and kind!

I've had a bunch of backpacks from Saddleback and Love 41 over the years, and I have enjoyed all of them. But until now my favorite of all time was the Saddleback Medium Simple Backpack, now discontinued. It was my EDC for nearly six years, and I loved everything about that bag, but I needed to downsize since I just wasn't carrying as much stuff.

For the last few years I've tried so many backpacks looking for a perfect fit, and this little tumbled is basically my favorite form factor of the Simple, but smaller. Perfection! I love the size and how it feels on my back, soft and comfortable right out of the box. The only thing I would change would be to add a flat outside back pocket for a cell phone or small tablet like a Kindle. Other than that, it's really the bag I've been searching for since I downsized from the Simple. I look forward to taking it on all my adventures for years to come.

AMAZING! :) This backpack is THE perfect "purse-sized" backpack. Will fit daily essentials, but I wouldn't attempt to put a jacket in it. It's got no keyfob, no outside pocket, but pebbles, pebbles, pebbles in that texture! The straps are long which is really nice for all sizes of people. The drawstring isn't the typical Saddleback drawstring, it's wider (same leather as the bag) and slides just fine. The drawstring flows thru a hem on the bag, so time will tell whether this stands up. I can fit a 13" laptop in it, but it sticks out about an 1"; so this isn't my first choice for that but can be done. The only thing that bugs me a bit is that the pebbles on the flap aren't the same size as the pebbles on the bag....OCD much? Did I mention this pack smells???? :D

Love this bag. The leather feels amazing, I have several other bags from Saddleback and Love 41 but the tumbled leather really differentiates this bag. It looks fantastic and is super functional. Perfect size to throw all of my essentials in and head out.

I absolutely love this backpack. It’s the perfect size. Very convenient for every use imaginable! I am obsessed! It is beautiful and very high quality!
