    Awesome Phone Case

    This is my 3rd iPhone case and like the prior 2 exceeds my expectations. Beautiful fit and finish. For the button naysayers out there try with the eraser end of a pencil alternate pushing the with the eraser end of a pencil push on the button cut out from the inside and outside of the case. This loosens the stiffness nicely.

    Overall it's a beautiful case, with one flaw

    I pre-ordered this case and was super excited when it finally arrived. I love the smell of the leather and the overall look of the case. It fit my 12 Pro Max like a glove. However, as mentioned in other reviews, there is one design/finish flaw and that is the buttons are extremely difficult to press. I ended up cutting a slight slit/shaving some of the leather just so the right hand button would work. I am assuming the finished product is not tested on an actual phone prior to shipping. It does add some thickness due to the leather on the front of the phone but I personally love the look. I compared this to the actual Apple leather case and this is much thicker, but it is also pure leather whereas the apple case seems to be more leather covered plastic or whatever. I would recommend this case just due to the overall quality and I cannot wait to see how the patina plays out on it.

    I'm amending my 4 star review to 2 stars

    After more experience with this case, a few more issues have popped up. I had the phone in my pocket, bent over to refill some pet food and the phone case caused my phone to dial 911. I'd never heard that audible alert before because I've never hit the side buttons on my in that sequence before (never had to!). This has also never happened before with any phone or phone case since I've first owned Apple iPhones. Thankfully, I was able to cancel the 911 call before the cops arrived! In additions, the case is very slippery - the leather is very hard, it's very smooth and I know I'm going to drop this phone with this case more often. I am unhappy to report that this case does not meet my expectations and I cannot in good conscience recommend the case. Sorry for the bad news Saddleback, but you've got some redesigning work on the drawing board before I'll buy one of these. Wondering if I can return it?

    Great, but Magsafe compatible it is not

    Received the case today. I was excited to get it as I loved this case for two+ years on my previous iPhone. This one is at least on par in quality and construction, and the leather is thicker. Perhaps it's the thickness of the leather, but the Magsafe magnets do not provide a good hold. I cannot use this with my new Belkin 3-in-1 charger as it will not hold the phone in place. Even when I hold the phone in my hand it's difficult to get it into a position where it will take a charge. I would love to see Saddleback integrate magnets into this design, as the Magsafe feature is one of my favorite aspects of the new iPhone design.

    Crude design

    I really wanted to like this case, and i pre-ordered the IPhone 12 case well ahead of time. On receiving the product today, the back of the case looks great, as is advertised online. There is however, no pictures of the front of the case. I found the scoring of the leather on the corners unappealing, and had one edge area touching the screen completely unfinished. There is also no room for the charger to be inserted without bending the bottom of the case to allow for the charging plug. I think with a few more design improvements this could be a really beautiful, functional phone case.
